GPI WALKING ROUTES

In order to serve growing passenger demand and bigger aircraft, modern airports are getting larger, which means longer walking distances for passengers. Establishing walking routes throughout terminals and concourses enhances the passenger experience by highlighting areas of the airport and encouraging passengers to burn calories while waiting for their flight. People are most likely to experience the airport’s concessions and other amenities if they are directed along the way with clear signs that show the route and indicate the distance they are traveling, as well as the amount of calories they are burning. GPI Wellness has developed Fit to Fly routes at airports that offer the following features:

Provide multiple carefully measured and designed routes throughout baggage claim, terminals and concourses.

Display distances for different length routes to meet various physical activity levels.

Avoid start and stop points so patrons feel comfortable joining the route form any location.

Create directional signage and route markers with distances and calories burned.
